Common questions

Why might a self-hoster run their own ACC server instead of using public servers?

Public servers are available, but hosting your own gives you a private lobby. Some people prefer this because publisher online services can be shut down at any time.

What setup problem did a user describe with the ACC dedicated server?

One user was trying to run the dedicated server after watching videos, reading the PDF guide, and setting up the JSON files. They wondered whether the dedicated server had had functionality removed recently.

What kind of help does the ZAP-Hosting documentation provide for ACC servers?

It covers troubleshooting common Assetto Corsa Competizione server issues. The goal is to keep the game running smoothly.

What practice session setup did a community thread ask about?

The thread asked how to set up a practice session with one teammate, one car, and two drivers. The purpose was to simulate a race and driver swaps.

What network setup did a user keep when their self-hosted ACC server stopped working?

The user had been running a server for a few weeks before it stopped working. They said they were using the same forwarded ports and had a static IP.
