Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes
- Copy the example env file first Before starting the quick-start Docker Compose stack, copy .env.example to .env as shown. That file holds configuration, so starting without it can leave the app missing required settings. source
- Start the stack and open the local site Run the provided docker compose command from the documenso folder, then open http://localhost:3000 in your browser. That is the local web interface, so it is where you confirm the install is running and begin using it. source
- Run database migrations for manual installs If you are installing by hand instead of using Docker Compose, install dependencies, build the app, and run the prisma:migrate-deploy command before starting. Migrations set up the database structure Documenso needs to store documents and settings. source

Common questions
Should I create an .env file before starting the Docker Compose stack?
Yes. Copy .env.example to .env first because it holds required configuration, and starting without it can leave the app missing settings.
What must I run before starting a manual Documenso install?
Install dependencies, build the app, and run the prisma:migrate-deploy command. The migrations set up the database structure needed to store documents and settings.
What URL should I open to verify a local Docker Compose install is running?
Open the local site at port 3000 in your browser. That is the web interface used to confirm the install and begin using it.
What network restrictions are my responsibility for a self-hosted instance?
You are responsible for restricting outbound traffic and egress filtering. You should also block access to internal services and cloud metadata endpoints using your firewall or network configuration.
