Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes

  • Router IP Set the ROUTER_IP environment variable to your router's IP address if it differs from the default 192.168.1.1. source
  • Port and Configuration The app serves on port 80; map the container's port 80 to your host. Mount the /config/ directory as a volume to persist plug configuration data. source
  • First Run The first run may take around 10 seconds as the app scans the local network for all Tenda SP9 devices. This can take longer on slower hardware or congested networks. source

Common questions

Where does TendaController keep plug information?

It stores plug IP addresses and names in plugs.json. If the file does not exist, the app runs a scraper to create it.

How do I reset a bugged Tenda SP9 plug?

Hold the button on the plug for 10 seconds, or unplug it until the LED goes off. You may then need to configure it again in the Tenda app before refreshing TendaController.

What endpoints does TendaController expose?

It exposes / for the main page, /toggle for toggling a plug, and /refresh for refreshing plugs.json and reloading the page.
