Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

Common questions

How are ports and environment variables set up in the Docker Compose example?

Map the main service with 1282:3000 and the content service with 1288:3500. Set HOST_IP, APPLICATION_PORT, and CONTENT_PORT to match your host network and exposed ports.

Where are the database and downloaded media stored?

Use Docker volumes: db-data is mounted at /app/database/db for the database, and content-data is mounted at /app/content for downloaded content. The content volume is also mounted into the content service at /content.

Which source domains are supported for adding channels, playlists, and videos?

The README currently lists only youtube.com as a supported domain.

Why might the UI feel slow when adding a channel or playlist?

It first uses yt-dlp to fetch video metadata and thumbnails before starting the download. This can take noticeable time, especially for channels or playlists.
