First-install notes
- Make your project with the init command Open a terminal (a text window for commands) and run `npx @open-slide/cli init my-deck` to create a new workspace. It creates the project files you need; without it, there is no app project to open, edit, or publish. source
- Know where your work lives Your slides live in `slides/`, shared images in `assets/`, and the main settings file is `open-slide.config.ts`. Keep this project folder safe and back it up, because the generated `dist/` output can be rebuilt, but your slides and settings cannot. source
- Change the local port if needed If the default local port (the number in the browser address for this app) is already used, change `port` in `open-slide.config.ts`. This avoids the app failing to open locally or being blocked by another program using the same port. source
