Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes
- Mount the Docker socket In your Compose or run command, keep the /var/run/docker.sock volume, which is Docker's socket (the connection point Dozzle uses to read containers and logs). Without it, Dozzle starts but can't show anything useful. source
- Open port 8080 for the web page Map host port 8080 to container port 8080 so you can open Dozzle in a browser at your machine's address plus :8080. If the port is blocked or not mapped, the page won't load. source
- Add login if anyone else can reach it If you enable simple authentication, create a users.yml file with your account details and keep that file safe. If Dozzle can't read it, login can fail and you may not be able to open the dashboard. source

Common questions
Why does Dozzle start but not show containers or load its page?
Mount the Docker socket at /var/run/docker.sock and map host port 8080 to container port 8080. Without the socket, Dozzle starts but cannot show useful container data, and if the port is blocked or unmapped the page will not load.
What file must exist before enabling simple authentication?
Create a users.yml file containing your account details and keep it safe. If Dozzle cannot read that file, login can fail and you may not be able to open the dashboard.
Why can a Dozzle restart create a different host entry?
Dozzle reads the host ID once when it connects and uses it to identify the host. If the ID changes after a restart, the server can keep routing to an old ID that no longer answers.
Are agent-based Docker Swarm or Kubernetes features part of a paid Dozzle plan?
The creator has discussed possible paid future features, including agent-based support for Docker Swarm and Kubernetes. These features may affect how multi-host Dozzle setups are implemented.
