First-install notes

  • Set a writable music folder Point Seakarr at a music folder such as /media/music and make sure it can write to it. It saves files in Artist/Album folders, so if the folder is missing or has wrong permissions, downloads won't be stored. source
  • Set the Soulseek server and incoming port In the soulseek config, enter the server address and choose a listen_port (the port incoming peer connections use). If it is set to 0, incoming peer connections are disabled, which can make some downloads fail or be slow. source
  • Audio quality filters are off by default min_bit_rate (minimum audio bitrate) and min_bit_depth (minimum bit depth for lossless files) can set quality limits; 0 turns each one off. Setting them too high can make many albums fail or get skipped. source
  • Expose VNC ports Expose port 5900 for VNC and port 6080 for web access, mount a /config volume, and run the container with privileged access. source
