First-install notes
- Set your Canada Post API key Add your Canada Post API key (the code that lets the app use the service) to the Key field or query parameter the app sends; without a valid key, the service rejects requests and no address suggestions are returned. source
- Find suggestions, then Retrieve details Use the Find service to get short address suggestions, then send the Id (the short code that identifies a suggestion) from that result to Retrieve to get full street, city, and postal code; without Retrieve you only have a partial address. source
- Initial setup Poste.io needs a registered FQDN for external mail. It uses mail ports 25, 110, 143, 443, 465, 587, 993, and 995, and web UI ports 443 and 8280. Create a user share for mail data and open or forward required ports. Set HTTPS=OFF before the image name if using a reverse proxy. source
