Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes

  • Fill in domain and IP settings first Set the environment variables in your compose file before starting: DOMAINS lists the DNS names, and IP4_PROVIDER/IP6_PROVIDER tell the updater where to get your current IP, such as static:203.0.113.10 or file:/ip4.txt. Without these, it has no target records or no address to report, so it cannot update DNS properly. source
  • Match PROXIED to domains behind proxy If some domains should stay behind Cloudflare's proxy, set PROXIED to an expression that names them, such as is(example.org) or is(example1.org,example2.org). If it does not match your intended domains, those records may be created as unproxied even though you expected Cloudflare's proxy. source
  • Test with static or file-based IPs Use static or file-based IP providers for a first check by setting a static IP in the environment or mounting a small text file with an IP into the container. This lets you confirm the container works before it starts changing real DNS records. source
