Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes

  • Install and run the error checker Use `go install github.com/gostaticanalysis/nilerr/cmd/nilerr@latest` to install nilerr, then run `nilerr ./...` in the project folder so it scans that folder and all subfolders. If you skip this, the checker never runs and it won't flag functions that return an error or nil when the logic looks wrong. source

Common questions

How do I expose goStatic on Fly.io?

GoStatic uses port 8043 by default, so add -p 8043 to your fly init command when creating the project to route traffic to port 80.

Does the goStatic container need anything beyond the Go binary to serve files?

No, Go can generate a fully static binary, so you don't need anything else.

Does goStatic provide monitoring endpoints?

Yes, it includes Prometheus metrics and a health endpoint.
