Platform availability

Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes

  • Choose BLIS install location When configuring the install, pass --prefix=/your/path if you do not want the default /usr/local. This chooses the folder where BLIS library files and header files are kept, so if it is wrong, your program may not find BLIS later. source
  • Point builds to your BLIS install Set BLIS_INSTALL_PATH to the folder where BLIS was installed before building or linking a program. Without it, the build can fail because it cannot find BLIS files. source
  • Set CPU and NUMA mode before launch Run the Quick Start command that matches your CPU to set BLIS cores, then launch your program with $BLIS_NUMA. This tells BLIS which CPU cores and memory groups, called NUMA nodes, to use, which can prevent slower runs on multi-CPU machines. source
