Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes
- Set your API key and browser profile ID Replace your_api_key_here and adsId or XXX with your real API key (a secret code for accessing the Local API) and your AdsPower browser profile ID. If you leave the placeholders in, the API cannot identify you or the browser profile, so it will not start the browser. source
- Check that port 50325 is reachable All examples send requests to http://local.adspower.net:50325, so make sure that local address and port are not blocked by a firewall or network setting. If they are blocked, the code will fail to start the browser even when your API key and profile ID are correct. source
- Install the code libraries for your language For the Java example, install Selenium and Gson first; for the JavaScript examples, install axios plus Puppeteer or Playwright as shown. Missing these libraries makes the code fail before it can contact the Local API. source
- Setup Run npm install, create a .env file based on sample.env, then start the server with node_modules/.bin/envrun node lib/server.js. source

Common questions
How do I start the LocalData API and use a different environment file?
Run npm install, put your configuration in a .env file based on sample.env, then start it with node_modules/.bin/envrun node lib/server.js. For a separate file, run node_modules/.bin/envrun -e remote-db.env node lib/server.js.
How do I connect a hosted dashboard and mobile app to the API?
Host local copies of the dashboard and mobile app, then set REMOTE_MOBILE_PREFIX and REMOTE_ADMIN_PREFIX to point to those installs.
How do I simulate a live deployment with HTTPS?
Use the bin/fakeroku script, for example PORT=3443 bin/fakeroku 3000, to handle HTTPS and forward requests to the LocalData API. It expects the key and certificate in ~/.ssh/localdata-key.pem and ~/.ssh/localdata-cert.pem, so import the certificate or allow the self-signed certificate in your browser.
What do I need to run the API tests for the first time?
Generate self-signed certificates with openssl, then run make test. On first use, create a PostgreSQL/PostGIS database with base feature data and import test/data/features-db.sql using psql.
