Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes
- Create the server with these settings Use the example to add the host key (the key that identifies your server) and the logging role (permission to write logs) when creating the server. Without them, the server may not work and you won't have activity logs to diagnose problems. source
- Start the server after setup Start the transfer server after you finish its settings. If it stays stopped, users can't connect to send or receive files. source
- Point each user to the right folder Set each user's landing directory to the cloud storage path you want them to start in. If this is wrong, users land in the wrong place or can't see their files. source

Common questions
Which storage backends can a self-hosted instance use?
It can use Amazon S3, Google Drive, Storj, or the local file system as the storage provider.
Do users need a special client to upload files?
No. It exposes a simple HTTP API, so files can be shared using common tools like curl without requiring additional software.
Can it be used to move files off a network device when inbound SSH is unavailable?
Yes. A community thread describes using it to transfer files off an rXg device when inbound SSH access is not available.
Is it considered an ephemeral file sharing option?
A guide lists it as an ephemeral file sharing platform for temporary file exchange.
