First-install notes
- Add your Jellyfin/Emby address and API key During first setup, enter your Jellyfin or Emby server URL (JF_HOST) and the API key for that server (JF_API_KEY). If either is missing, setup stops with an error saying required settings are missing. source
- Create the first login account In the setup step, create the first username and password for Jellystat. You need this account to sign in later, and once the app is configured you cannot create the first user again. source
- Set required server variables before starting If your installation uses environment variables (settings saved before the app starts), save the database login details and a JWT_SECRET (a secret signing key, at least 32 characters) before launching it. Missing or incorrectly set values can stop the app from starting or break sign-in. source

Common questions
Does Jellystat need its own Postgres database?
Yes, Jellystat requires a Postgres database to run. It may need to be deployed with a database container instead of a fully self-contained image.
What must I provide during Jellystat's first setup?
Enter your Jellyfin or Emby server URL and API key, then create the first username and password. Missing required settings stop setup with an error.
How does Janitorr use Jellystat data?
Janitorr v1.2 supports Jellystat and can override file age with the last active view.
Does Jellystat sometimes log intros as if they were the full movie?
Sometimes Jellystat logs only the intro and displays the intro title as having been played for the movie's length.
