First-install notes

  • Run init.sh first From the Snikket folder, run ./scripts/init.sh and enter your domain, admin email, and Let's Encrypt terms agreement. It creates the settings needed by start.sh and allows HTTPS certificates to be generated. source
  • Start the service Run ./scripts/start.sh after init succeeds; the login page loads at http://<your domain> and should switch to HTTPS once certificates are available. If it asks to run init.sh, do that first because the stack is not configured yet. source
  • Create your admin account Run ./scripts/new-invite.sh --admin --group default and open the link it prints to choose a username and password. This gives you a login at <username>@<domain>, without which you cannot use the service. source
