Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes

  • Create a user before using notifications Set up at least one account in Gotify with a name, password, and admin flag if you want full control. Without a user, the app cannot sign in and won't be able to receive your notifications. source
  • Point the app at your server and sign in Enter your Gotify server address, then the username and password you created. This signs the app in and gives it a session to receive notifications; without it, the app can't talk to Gotify. source
  • Send a test message to confirm setup After signing in, create a simple test notification using an app ID (a number that identifies the sender app), title, message, and priority. If it arrives, you know the server and app are connected correctly. source
