Common questions
How should the Vora container connect to PostgreSQL in Docker?
Use a separate PostgreSQL container with the pgvector extension. The compose example names it vora-postgres and connects Vora to Host=postgres on port 5432.
Which port should be published for the Vora web UI?
Publish container port 8080 to your host. Vora serves the API and web client on that port.
What happens if the JWT secret is changed after setup?
Changing Jwt__SecretKey invalidates every existing session. Use a long random string and store it safely.
Which Docker volumes are important to back up?
Back up the /app/data volume and the PostgreSQL data volume. Media directories are mounted read-only and remain separate from Vora's data volumes.
