Common questions

Do I need a desktop environment to run Project NOMAD as a server?

No. Installation is terminal-based and the tools are accessed through a browser, so a desktop environment is not required.

sudo or root privileges are required to run the install script.

Which port does the Command Center use after installation?

Open the browser to localhost or the device IP on port 8080.

Can I deploy Project NOMAD manually instead of using the install script?

Advanced users can copy the Docker Compose template into a docker-compose.yml file, replace placeholders, and start it with docker compose up -d.

How can I move Project NOMAD's data to a larger drive?

A Linux Mint user reports using a symbolic-link fix to move the project's storage folder to a larger drive.
