Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes
- Set up .env before Docker starts Fill in your .env settings file before running docker-compose up -d, because it holds settings Maxun needs at startup. Missing or wrong values can make the services fail to start or point Maxun to the wrong data. source
- Start Maxun with Docker Compose Run docker-compose up -d to launch Maxun's frontend and backend services together as background containers. This starts the full app in one step, while -d keeps it running so you don't have to leave a terminal open. source
- Manual install needs npm setup If you choose the manual npm install path, run npm install in the Maxun root and again inside maxun-core before starting with npm run start. Skipping those installs leaves missing files, so Maxun can crash or refuse to run. source
