Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

Common questions

How does Sonorium 1.7.0 handle sign-in, and does the Home Assistant app require a separate login?

Sign-in is optional until Require login is turned on in Settings > Users & devices. In the Home Assistant app, Home Assistant users are Sonorium users, with owners and administrators as Admins and no second sign-in.

Which ports should be exposed when running Sonorium in Docker?

Port 8008 remains used by speakers, and port 8808 is new for the web UI and API over HTTPS. Docker without network_mode: host must publish port 8808 as well.

Can other systems send announcements to Sonorium?

Home Assistant, MQTT, Node-RED, or a script can send a chime or words to speak, and Sonorium plays them on the named channels. A playing channel gets quieter while the announcement plays.

Are Home Assistant dashboard cards added automatically?

Yes, Home Assistant dashboard cards are added when Home Assistant and MQTT are linked.

Do existing Home Assistant and Docker installs keep working after Sonorium moved to its own repository?

Yes, Home Assistant and Docker installs keep working as before.
