Run a modded Terraria dedicated server with a web dashboard for worlds, Workshop mods, players, settings, backups, and restart schedules.

  • Tools & Utilities
Run a modded Terraria dedicated server with a web dashboard for worlds, Workshop mods, players, settings, backups, and restart schedules. First startup needs internet access. Find the one-time setup code in the container logs, then open WebUI to create your administrator credential. Use dedicated data and backup folders, and keep the dashboard on a trusted LAN or behind an HTTPS reverse proxy. See the README for installation and configuration. Independently maintained; not affiliated with Re-Logic or the tModLoader team.

Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

Common questions

Do dashboard backups interrupt active players?

Yes. Backups briefly stop the game and disconnect players.

Is a Steam API key required for all Steam Workshop features?

No. Workshop search requires a Steam API key, but you can download mods and collections, look up Workshop URLs or IDs without one, and reuse cached content when Steam is unavailable.

Do mod configuration changes apply immediately?

No. You can edit existing UTF-8 configuration files, but you need to restart the server to load saved changes.

Will worlds, mods, settings, and logs remain after the container is replaced?

Yes. Persistent server data survives container replacement, and the game and dashboard run as a dedicated non-root user.

Can unused worlds be deleted from the dashboard?

Yes. The dashboard can delete unused worlds after confirmation, but running and draft-selected worlds are protected. Deletion includes their local backup files.
