REST API gateway for RCT Power inverters — readings, controls, metrics, admin GUI in one service. Features: - Read any metric from the full protocol catalog (894 of 895 IDs), partial success on multi-metric requests, RFC 9457 error responses - Energy Manager for dynamic electricity tariffs: charge the battery from the grid or discharge it to the house with a target state of charge, power limit and duration - Data export to your own InfluxDB 2 or QuestDB for Grafana, Telegraf and custom analysis - Administration GUI: Overview, Inverters, Energy Manager, TSDB, Prometheus, API tokens and Settings pages with autosave - Ready-made /metrics endpoint for Telegraf, Grafana and friends; a scrape never touches the inverter - API token authentication, separate admin sessions, read and read/write roles, encrypted SQLite administration storage - Guarded writes: off by default, allowlist-based, with

Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

Common questions

Where do I find the initial admin password after first startup?

A one-time admin password is printed in a FIRST START block on the console during first startup. You must change this password when you first log in.

What data should I back up?

Settings are stored in data/rct.db and are encrypted and authenticated with HMAC_SECRET. Back up the database and the secret together.

How should I expose it behind a reverse proxy?

The HTTP service is plain HTTP, so TLS should be terminated at a reverse proxy. It also connects to the inverter over TCP port 8899.

Is inverter write access enabled by default?

No, writes are opt-in and enabled in the GUI. They are limited to the approved parameters.

How many inverters can one instance manage?

It supports 1 to 32 inverter endpoints, configured in the GUI. Requests to a single inverter endpoint are serialized inside the process.
