Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

Common questions
Does NetLens retain history after UniFi deletes its own short retention data?
Yes. It keeps history beyond UniFi's own retention, which is described as deleting data after a day or a week.
How can NetLens show a device that is powered on but not using the internet?
Offline devices are checked on the network every five minutes. The check uses ping, then common ports, with a MAC check.
Does NetLens use DNS logs to identify sites?
No, Sites are taken from UniFi connection records. If secure DNS hides the name, NetLens may name the address from its own hourly lookups when it belongs to a watched site.
Do NetLens alerts block or limit a device?
No, alerts are watch-only. They flag daily limits on time in use or data for an app, category, or device.
