Backblaze Personal Backup running under Wine in a container, with a browser desktop (no VNC client needed) and a monitor, status and settings dashboard beside it. This is a fork of iamfoz/backblaze-64-personal-wine-container with a Container tab that changes every setting below from the browser, update notices for the image, Wine and the Backblaze client, and a template that exposes every option. Not affiliated with or supported by Backblaze. The container needs read-write access to what it backs up: Backblaze writes a .bzvol folder into the root of every drive. Map each folder you want protected to /drive_d, /drive_e and so on. Image tags (edit the Repository field to switch): latest = WineHQ stable, pins client 10.0.1.1069; latest-patched = the fork's patched Wine, fixes on, follows the newest client; beta = patched Wine with the performance patches on, weekly; ubuntu26 = early

Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

Common questions

How do I tell the container which folders to back up?

Give the container read-write access to the folders you want protected and map each folder to /drive_d, /drive_e, or similar. Backblaze creates a .bzvol folder in the root of every mapped drive.

Can I change the web/VNC port from the dashboard?

Yes, the Container tab lets you edit ports and other settings. A saved value wins over the Docker variable of the same name and applies at the next start, and the Restart button performs that start.

How do I protect access to the browser UI?

You can enable a web login and set a VNC password, with an option for encrypted connection. Passwords are write-only, and a web login without a password is refused.

How do I know when the container, Wine, or Backblaze client has an update?

The container checks daily for a newer image, newer Wine, and newer Backblaze client. It shows the results on the Container tab and can send them through configured notification endpoints.
