Docker Batch Update

Pick which Docker containers to update and update them in one go.

Pick which Docker containers to update and update them in one go. Adds a "Batch Update" tab to the Docker page: tick the containers that have an update pending and they are updated one after another, in order, using Unraid's own update routine. Supports select all, a manual update check, and force-updating containers that are already current. Containers Unraid can't update itself (Docker Compose, no template) are shown greyed out with the reason.

Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

Common questions

Does the plugin use its own update logic?

No, it passes the selection to Unraid's own update_container script. It then pulls the new image, stops the container if running, recreates it from its template, restarts it if it was running, and removes the old image when unused.

Can I force-update containers that are already up to date?

Yes, Show all containers lets you force-update containers that are already up to date.

Why are some containers greyed out in Batch Update?

Containers that Unraid cannot update itself, such as Docker Compose containers or containers without an Unraid template, are greyed out with the reason.

Will it start a batch update if another container update is already running?

No, it won't start if another container update is already running.

Can I close the progress window while an update is running?

Yes, you can close the progress window. The update keeps going in the background, just like Update All.
