Invoicery is a self-hosted invoicing app for small businesses in India that creates invoices, tracks expenses, manages inventory, and generates automated GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B GST tax reports. Built with Bun and SQLite, it is offline-first and self-contained, with local data ownership, automated interstate and intrastate tax routing, backup and restore, and a clean dark-mode interface.

Common questions

How do I back up and restore Invoicery data?

Invoicery can pack the SQLite database at data/billing.db and uploaded files in attachments/ into one zip file. The whole backup can then be restored with one click.

Does Invoicery automatically calculate Indian GST components?

Yes. It compares the merchant state code with the customer place-of-supply state code and applies CGST and SGST for intrastate supply or IGST for interstate supply.

Does inventory stock change automatically when invoices or purchases are recorded?

Yes. Stock is automatically deducted when sales invoices are recorded and automatically incremented when purchases are recorded.

Can external scanners or scripts create entries in Invoicery?

Yes. An API token system lets scanning devices, command-line utilities, or inventory scripts connect to the billing book.
