A free Microsoft OneDrive Client which supports OneDrive Personal, OneDrive for Business, OneDrive for Office365 and SharePoint. Installation: - Before creating the Onedrive docker container, make sure you created a configuration and data folder first (see template). - Install the Onedrive docker container using the template. - Once installed, stop the docker container and find the container ID. (In the right upper corner of the docker page, switch over from ‘Basic view’ to ‘Advanced view’. Now you can see the Container ID for your newly created container (for example 72409c107bd0). Copy this ID.) - Open the Unraid terminal and type: docker start your_container_ID --interactive (use right mouse --> paste to paste your container ID in the terminal). - After entering the command and pressing enter, the container starts in interactive mode and a link to a Microsoft login page is shown in

Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes

  • Install the packaged client first In a terminal, run `sudo zypper install onedrive` on openSUSE, or `sudo eopkg install onedrive` on Solus. This installs the ready-made client instead of building it from source, which is much simpler for a first install. source
  • Start Docker before using the container If you are using Docker to run OneDrive, first run `sudo systemctl enable --now docker` in a terminal. Docker is the program that runs containers, and if it is not enabled, the OneDrive container cannot start or sync. source
  • Start the service and check its log After installing, run `service onedrive start` and `chkconfig onedrive on` so it starts now and after reboot. Then watch `/var/log/onedrive/<username>.onedrive.log` with `tail -f`; that log shows what OneDrive is doing, which helps you spot permission or startup problems. source

Common questions

What should I do if the OneDrive Docker container cannot start or sync?

Enable Docker before using the container by running sudo systemctl enable --now docker. If Docker is not enabled, the container cannot start or sync.

How do I start the client automatically and check for startup or permission problems?

Run service onedrive start and chkconfig onedrive on so it starts now and after reboot. Then watch /var/log/onedrive/<username>.onedrive.log to see what the client is doing.

Is there a simpler first-install method than building from source on openSUSE or Solus?

Yes, install the packaged client with sudo zypper install onedrive on openSUSE or sudo eopkg install onedrive on Solus. This installs a ready-made client instead of building from source.

Does the client support one-way and two-way synchronisation?

Yes, it supports both one-way and two-way synchronisation modes for syncing with Microsoft OneDrive services.

Can it sync SharePoint document libraries as well as OneDrive for Business?

Yes, it supports OneDrive Personal, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint document libraries.
