First-install notes
- Start Scanopy with Docker Compose Download the `docker-compose.yml` file and run `docker compose up -d` on a machine with Docker (a tool for running apps in isolated containers). The compose file tells Docker what to start, so if it is missing or wrong, the app stack won't come up. source
- If using remote Docker, add TLS proxy If you use the remote Docker option, set up the nginx (web server) proxy and TLS (certificate-checked encryption) certificates for port 2376 first. Without them, remote Docker connections won't get a secure, verified path to the Docker service. source

Common questions
How do I start the self-hosted scanopy-daemon?
Download the provided Docker Compose file and run docker compose up -d. Then open port 60072 in a browser, create your account, and the first discovery starts automatically.
Does Scanopy need an agent installed on each host or device?
No. One scanner maps hosts and services by scanning the network, with no per-device agents.
How can I map multiple sites or VLANs?
Deploy daemons across network segments so distributed scanning can map multi-site and multi-VLAN topologies.
Can I share the generated views with other users?
Yes. Scanopy supports multi-user access with role-based access control and shareable live views.
What container and network hardware integration is included?
Scanopy provides native Docker and SNMP integration for discovering containerized services and network hardware.
