First-install notes
- Install Satisfactory Mod Manager On Windows, run `winget install SatisfactoryModding.SatisfactoryModManager` if you have Winget (Windows' built-in command-line installer). This gives you the standard front-end for adding Satisfactory mods, and skipping it can make installing or launching this app a lot more manual and error-prone. source
- First run Open the web UI and load a save by uploading a .sav file, fetching it from a running dedicated server, or copying it over SSH; use Refresh snapshot to update the map. source

Common questions
How do I set the admin password in the Docker Compose setup?
Set the SMR_ADMIN_PASSWORD environment variable to at least 8 characters. If the password contains a dollar sign, write it as two dollar signs in the compose file.
How can the app load a save from a running dedicated server?
An admin can configure the app to fetch the save through the dedicated server's HTTPS API. This requires Satisfactory version 1.0 or newer and an API token.
Which port does the Docker example expose?
The compose example maps host port 8080 to container port 8080.
Which volume should I use for persistent data?
Mount a host directory such as ./map-data to the container path /data.
How do I refresh the map after the factory changes?
Use the Refresh snapshot button to fetch the current state again. Changing or refreshing the save requires the admin password.
