Block Party is a self-hosted web panel for running Minecraft Bedrock, Minecraft Java (Paper) and Hytale servers at home: it starts, stops, updates and backs up servers from a phone or desktop, and lets Xbox, PlayStation and Switch players join without extra apps, with per-child accounts and notifications.

Common questions

Can Xbox, PlayStation, or Switch players join without installing extra apps?

Yes. The panel provides its own console server list and a small DNS server, and that console flow is tested on a Nintendo Switch and a PS5.

How does Block Party update a Bedrock server?

It backs the server up first to /data/backups, downloads the current version, and keeps your worlds, server.properties, allowlist, and permissions. It also sets the execute bit so Bedrock starts correctly.

Are running servers stopped during scheduled backups?

No. Running servers are backed up without stopping them using Bedrock's own save hold, so players are not kicked. A restore first backs up the current world so the restore can be undone.

Can I move Bedrock servers from Crafty Controller into Block Party?

Yes. The panel imports each server with its worlds, settings, allowlist, and operators while keeping its port. The original files are only read and are not changed.

What authentication options are available for the web panel?

It uses an owner account with a sign-in page, command-line password reset, Argon2id password hashing, and a 15-minute lockout after repeated wrong passwords. Optional two-factor sign-in with an authenticator app is also available.
