Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes
- Make a .env file before starting Copy .env.example to a new file named .env, then fill in the database and app settings before running any commands. Without it, TryPost will not know where to keep your data or how to connect, so it will fail on first launch. source
- Create the database tables first Run the app's database setup command, php artisan migrate, after your .env file is ready. It creates the tables TryPost needs to store posts, accounts, and settings; without them, pages and API calls may error out. source

Common questions
What setup steps are required before first launch?
Copy .env.example to a file named .env, fill in the database and app settings, and then run php artisan migrate. Without these steps, TryPost may fail on first launch and pages or API calls may error.
How is self-hosted TryPost supported?
The self-hosted version is supported by the community in their free time, on a best-effort basis. Post your question and be patient.
Are there seat limits or feature gates in self-hosted TryPost?
No, the project says self-hosting avoids seat tax and feature gates. Posts, drafts, and metrics stay on your infrastructure under a license that is yours to keep.
Can external clients manage TryPost over an API?
Yes, the REST API includes endpoints for creating posts, uploading media, managing social accounts, and approving or rejecting posts. It also exposes endpoints for analytics, webhooks, and workspace API keys.
