  • Add secure web support (TLS plugin) If your program needs to make secure https:// requests, install the TLS plugin with `go get -u gopkg.in/h2non/gentleman.v2/plugins/tls` (`go get` adds a Go package). Without this, TLS (the encryption that makes https:// safe) will not be available and those requests will fail. source
  • Add login support (auth plugin) If your program must log in to a website or API, install the authentication plugin with `go get -u gopkg.in/h2non/gentleman.v2/plugins/auth`. Without it, requests that need credentials are likely to be rejected. source
  • Add JSON sending (body plugin) If you need to send JSON (a common data format) with a request, install the body plugin with `go get -u gopkg.in/h2non/gentleman.v2/plugins/body`. Without it, the body.JSON() shortcut may not exist and your data won't be sent correctly. source
