Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes

  • Install Community Edition Run the Community Edition installer on the Proxmox host: curl -fsSL https://proxcenter.io/install/community | sudo bash. It sets up Docker, PostgreSQL, and volumes under /opt/proxcenter; then open port 3000 and create the first admin account. source

Common questions

What do I need to set when ProxCenter is behind a reverse proxy?

Enable the Behind reverse proxy toggle in the connection settings. This prevents failover from switching to the internal node IPs.

Where is ProxCenter's data stored?

PostgreSQL is the only source of truth, and the installer creates persistent volumes under /opt/proxcenter.

Does the Community Edition limit the number of nodes?

No, the Community Edition has no node cap.

Can ProxCenter be installed on the same Proxmox node it manages?

It can, but a shutdown-all-guests-then-shutdown-host sequence may not complete when that node is powered off because the ProxCenter process stops.

Can ProxCenter use SSO?

It supports LDAP and OIDC SSO.
