Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

Common questions
Do I need to set up a separate database or other services?
No external services need to be wired up. It runs as one Express process with one SQLite file.
Which port should I expose in the Docker example?
The container listens on port 3000 internally. The Docker Compose example maps it to host port 8080.
How do I back up my data and photos?
Use the in-app backups, and an automated nightly snapshot is included. The data is one SQLite file, while photos are stored on disk.
Can I use it on a phone?
It can be installed as a PWA on your phone or desktop.
Does barcode scanning require an external lookup?
The optional UPCitemdb lookup is off by default. You can enable it in Settings.
