Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes

  • Dry-run and webhook setup Posteryard starts with Dry Run enabled, so generated previews are saved locally until you set Dry Run to false. For immediate Plex updates, add a webhook under Plex Settings, Webhooks using the endpoint shown in the README. Jellyfin and Emby webhook details are also in the README. Without a webhook, new titles are refreshed within about 15 minutes. source

Common questions

How should I prepare the Posteryard data folder?

Mount ./data to /data and create it with ownership 1000:1000 before starting the container. The container runs as user 1000 and writes only to /data and /tmp.

What PLEX_URL value should I use with a Dockerized Plex?

Use Plex's network address, not localhost. If Plex runs in Docker on the same network, use its container name.

Can I try Posteryard without changing my media server?

Set DRY_RUN to true first, because Posteryard starts in preview mode and changes nothing until you say so. Everything it uploads can be undone.

How are quality badges determined?

They are read from your media files. Set QUALITY_MIN_VIDEO, QUALITY_MIN_HDR, and QUALITY_MIN_AUDIO to control the minimum resolution, HDR, and audio levels.

Which art sources can Posteryard use?

It can use textless art from TMDB, Apple TV, or fanart.tv. Configure TMDB_API_KEY for TMDB, APPLE_ART=true for Apple art, and FANART_API_KEY for fanart.tv.
