Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

Common questions

Do my STL, 3MF, and STEP files have to be uploaded into Printventory?

No. It indexes the files already in your chosen folders without moving or uploading them.

Which port and volume does the Docker quick start use?

The example publishes host port 5000 to container port 5000. It mounts a printventory-data volume to /root/.config/Printventory.

Can Printventory use an existing Spoolman filament catalog?

Yes. If you already run Spoolman, Printventory can pull your filament catalog from it.

Does it detect duplicate 3D model files?

Yes. It uses duplicate detection based on the file's content hash.

Does it record print history and filament use?

Yes. It tracks each print's lifecycle and stores the date, quantity, notes, and filament used.
