  • Keep the agent running after restart If you use the Windows MSI (Microsoft installer package) and set STARTUPTYPE=disabled, the agent will not start automatically after a reboot, so monitoring stays off until you start it. Choose the startup setting you actually want before you finish the install. source
  • Install to a folder you can find You can set INSTALLFOLDER and ADDLOCAL in the Windows MSI install to choose the install folder and which optional plugin components to include. This stops files from landing somewhere you won't find them and avoids missing optional parts. source

Does this fork still bundle the older Zabbix 5.2 agent?

No. It updates the bundled zabbix_agentd to the official 6.0.47 LTS static build.

Why did the original plugin report null CPU temperature on some Intel and AMD boards?

The old temperature script only matched the literal CPU Temp and MB Temp sensor labels. The fork now takes the highest reading across matched CPU sensor labels, including Intel coretemp and AMD k10temp labels, while keeping CPU Temp as a fallback.

How can I watch the Zabbix agent logs live from Unraid without enabling file logging first?

The plugin includes a zero-setup live log viewer that follows the agent's existing syslog output directly. It does not require enabling the dedicated log file option.

Will manual edits to zabbix_agentd.custom.conf survive after saving the webGUI Settings page?

No. Once the Settings page is saved, zabbix_agentd.custom.conf becomes generated by that page. Manual edits to the file are overwritten on the next Apply.
