Odoo 19 is an open-source suite of integrated business applications covering accounting, CRM, e-commerce, inventory, point of sale, project management, manufacturing, and human resources. Designed for small and medium-sized businesses, it offers a single modular platform where each function runs as a standalone app, so you can manage and streamline operations without piecing together separate tools.

Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes

  • Note your API base URL first If you will connect other programs to Odoo through its API (a way for programs to ask Odoo for data or actions), write down the database name, server domain, and base URL such as https://your-domain/json/2 before starting. Using the wrong base URL or database name makes those program requests fail even when your password is correct. source
  • Make a separate API user For automated tools, create a separate bot or API user with its own token (a secret key) instead of sharing your main admin login. If that token leaks, you can revoke just that small account instead of putting your whole Odoo setup at risk. source
  • Create the key in Account Security After the API user exists, use an administrator account to generate its key in Preferences > Account Security. If you skip this, the external tool has no valid secret key and Odoo will reject its requests. source
  • Run a separate PostgreSQL database Odoo 19 requires PostgreSQL 13 or later and does not bundle a database; start a separate PostgreSQL container first and point Odoo at it on initial setup. source
  • Beta template - back up first This Unraid community template for Odoo 19 is in beta and untested with production data. Keep regular backups and validate it in a test environment before relying on it. source
