Agentic Inbox lets you send, receive, and manage emails through a modern web interface -- all powered by your own Cloudflare account. Incoming emails arrive via Cloudflare Email Routing, each mailbox is isolated in its own Durable Object with a SQLite database, and attachments are stored in R2. An AI-powered Email Agent can read your inbox, search conversations, and draft replies -- built with the Cloudflare Agents SDK and Workers AI.

First-install notes

  • Add your OpenAI key to .env first Create or edit the .env file (a small text file for private settings) and set OPENAI_API_KEY to your real OpenAI key before running the examples. Without it, the sample cannot call OpenAI and will stop with a missing-key or sign-in error. source
  • Install fastmcp for the Python example If you run the Python FastMCP example, install the fastmcp package with pip or uv (Python package installers) and make sure Python is installed. Without it, Python cannot find the FastMCP library and the example server will not start. source
  • The Python example uses port 8000 The Python FastMCP example listens on your own machine at http://127.0.0.1:8000/mcp. If you only use it on that computer, no extra port setting is needed; if you try to reach it from another machine, it will not connect unless you change the host and open port 8000, the number that identifies this program. source
