First-install notes
- Fill in the required Docker settings Before starting, set PUID/PGID (the user and group IDs for your NAS files), DB_PASSWORD to the same password in both the app and database sections, APP_KEY, and your real /path/to-data folder. If these are wrong or left empty, the app may fail to start or not save anything. source
- Open ports 8080 and 8443 Use port 8080 for normal web access and 8443 for HTTPS access to the Speedtest Tracker interface. If you do not open the port you need, the container may run but your browser will not be able to reach it. source
- Save config and database in safe places Point /path/to-data:/config and the speedtest-db volume to permanent folders on your NAS so settings and speedtest history survive restarts. If these paths are lost or deleted, you can lose your saved data and have to set the app up again. source

Common questions
What QNAP Docker settings must I configure before starting Speedtest Tracker?
Set PUID/PGID for your NAS files, set DB_PASSWORD to the same password in both the app and database sections, and set APP_KEY and your real /path/to-data folder. If these are wrong or left empty, the app may fail to start or not save anything.
Which ports should be opened to reach the Speedtest Tracker interface on QNAP?
Open port 8080 for normal web access and 8443 for HTTPS access to the interface. If the needed port is not open, the container may run but the browser will not be able to reach it.
How can I keep Speedtest Tracker settings and history from being lost on QNAP?
Point /path/to-data:/config and the speedtest-db volume to permanent folders on your NAS. If those paths are lost or deleted, you can lose your saved data and have to set the app up again.
