NPMplus is an improved fork of Nginx Proxy Manager that provides a web interface for managing reverse proxy rules, SSL certificates, and application routing. This Unraid template provides a ready-to-use bridge-mode setup with grouped variables for ports, ACME, nginx/TLS, GoAccess, PHP, OIDC/auth-request and optional external MariaDB/MySQL compatibility. External MariaDB/MySQL is unsupported by NPMplus upstream and SQLite is recommended for new installs.

Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes

  • Start NPMplus with Docker Compose Run `docker compose up -d` in the NPMplus folder to start the app container (the packaged NPMplus service) in the background. Without this, NPMplus will not be running and you cannot open its web interface. source
  • Reset login if you get locked out If you forget your password or lose multi-factor (MFA) login access, run `docker exec -it npmplus password-reset.js USER_EMAIL [PASSWORD] [--disable-mfa]` to set a new password or turn MFA off. This command is for SQLite installations, and without it you may not be able to sign back in. source
  • Check ports before first start Review port mappings before first start, especially if the Unraid WebUI already uses ports 80 or 443. source
