Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes

  • Set your ebook folder before first run Replace /path/to/ebooks in docker-compose.yaml with the real folder where your EPUB files are, and keep ./data for BookBridge's saved information. If the folder path is wrong, the app can start but it may not find your books. source
  • Use the web UI on port 8080 The default setup exposes the web interface on local port 8080, which is forwarded to port 5757 inside the container. You use that web UI to configure connected services and manage the app. source
  • Start it in the background Run docker compose up -d from the folder that contains the compose file so BookBridge starts in detached mode. It then keeps running in the background while the web UI stays available. source
