GridCraft Web is a community-maintained Docker image that serves GridCraft, a spreadsheet application written in Rust, through a browser-based WebAssembly interface. The upstream application supports spreadsheet workflows and workbook formats including XLSX, CSV, and TSV. Workbooks are opened and saved through browser file handling; the container only serves the static web application and does not provide centralized workbook storage or server-side spreadsheet processing.

Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes

  • Install the GridCraft package first In your SvelteKit app (the web project you're adding this to), run the install command for the package manager you already use, such as npm, yarn, pnpm, or bun. If you skip this, your app cannot load any GridCraft tables because the pieces have not been added yet. source
  • Add the Grid and connect your data Import the Grid component from @mediakular/gridcraft and bind it to the data you want to show on a SvelteKit page. Without that connection, the page has the grid part but no rows to display. source
  • Use paging for large lists If your data may include many rows, set the paging options for items per page, current page, and available page sizes, then pass them to Grid. This keeps the page from becoming a giant, hard-to-scroll list. source
  • Deploy the web image and open it in a browser Deploy the gridcraft-web container (for example, via the Unraid template) and open the served URL in your browser. GridCraft runs in the browser using WebAssembly, so you open and save workbooks through your browser's file dialog; the image only serves the static web app and keeps no files on the server. source
