Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes
- Tell the API who your app is Set the User-Agent header (the label that tells the API which program is making the request) to the name of your service or app. Without it, the API can reject the request, so the visualizer may not load any video search results. source
- Use the API’s minimum search settings When building a search, keep the basic settings filled in: which fields to return, the offset (where to start), and the limit (how many to return). The API uses these to build the response, so missing them can make the request fail before you see videos. source
- Slice large searches by date If your search list is very big, add start and end date filters to pull results in month-sized chunks. The API can’t page positions past 100,000 results, so without date slicing it can’t reach everything further down the list. source

- Time Machine - Time Machine is the breakthrough automatic backup that’s built right into Mac OS X.
- Windows File History - File History protects files from within the libraries, desktop, favorites, and contacts folders and creates copies of the files.
- snapshot - Snapshot is a tool that creates a digital "photocopy" of your entire computer.
Common questions
Can I install Snapshot Visualizer before it appears in the TrueNAS app catalog, and does it need an API key?
Yes, install it as a custom app via YAML. The example maps the TrueNAS middleware socket read-only and says no API key is needed.
What port does the example setup use and why might the browser warn about the certificate?
The example publishes container port 8080 on host port 30527 over HTTPS. The warning occurs because the app uses a self-signed certificate, like the TrueNAS web interface.
Can the web UI delete snapshots?
It is read-only by default. Deletion must be switched on in the web UI settings and always requires a double confirmation.
How can I filter very large snapshot lists?
The search box combines AND terms such as size limits, write metrics, age ranges, exclusions, held, and regular expressions. The snapshots table also supports CSV export.
What do the grey shared snapshot space blocks in the treemap mean?
They show space that belongs to several snapshots. That space is freed only when all snapshots sharing it are deleted.
