Doku is a simple, lightweight web-based application that allows you to monitor Docker disk usage in a user-friendly manner. The Doku displays the amount of disk space used by the Docker daemon, splits by images, containers, volumes, and builder cache. If you're lucky, you'll also see the sizes of log files :)

Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes

  • Install Python dependencies first Open your project folder, activate a virtual environment, then run `pip install -r requirements.txt`. This installs the packages Doku needs, and without it the app will likely crash when it starts. source
  • Install the Doku code-gen plugin In the Agent Chat, run `/plugin install doku-codegen` and then test it with `/gen` or `/generate`. If you skip this, Doku's AI helper commands won't be available in the session. source
  • Set up the card form SDK If you accept card payments, include the DOKU JS SDK and call `PG.init` to map card number, expiry, and CVV fields. Without this setup, the card payment form cannot collect and send the card details correctly. source

Common questions

Do I need to mount the host root directory for Doku?

Yes, mount the host / directory to /hostroot read-only in addition to the Docker socket. Without this mount, Doku cannot properly calculate disk usage for logs, bind mounts, and Overlay2 storage.

Can Doku automatically reclaim or clean Docker disk space?

No, Doku is only a monitoring tool. It mounts host paths read-only and never performs cleanup or disk space reclamation.

What port does Doku listen on and can I change it?

Doku's container port is 9090. You can expose it on any host port, such as 8080:9090.

How do I get the latest version of Doku?

Pull the latest release from Docker Hub using the amerkurev/doku:latest image.
