Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes
- Check the PWM board is detected Run the driver's startup check and stop if it says the PCA9685 board is not found. That usually means the board is missing, not powered, or the I2C wires (the signal wires the microcontroller uses to talk to it) are miswired, so the PWM outputs will not work. source
- Use the default address 0x40 if unchanged If you did not change the board's address pins, create the driver with the normal I2C address 0x40. Using a different address is like calling the wrong door number, so the board will not hear the microcontroller. source
- Set the PWM speed to match your hardware After startup, set the PWM frequency to about 50 Hz for servos or around 1000 Hz for LED dimming. The wrong speed can make servos buzz or LED fading feel jerky. source

Common questions
Which local directory must be defined for a PWM instance?
Each PWM instance needs an applicationPath directory defined on the local server. PWM stores its configuration, log, and runtime files in that directory.
What does the initial PWM web UI ask the administrator to configure?
It prompts the administrator for LDAP and other configuration settings.
Is there a community Docker setup for PWM on Unraid?
A Reddit thread explains installing and configuring PWM in a Docker container on Unraid. It presents this as a homelab-friendly setup for LDAP directories.
