Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

Common questions

Do I need a separate Quassel Core instance for quassel-web?

Yes. quassel-web is a web client that requires a running quasselcore instance.

How do I set the default Quassel Core host and port?

Copy settings.cjs to settings-user.cjs and modify the host and port values in that file. All available settings are described in settings.cjs.

Can I put quassel-web behind a reverse proxy using a local socket?

Yes. Launch quassel-webserver with -s followed by the socket path. In socket mode, the listen, port, and mode options are ignored.

How does quassel-web handle HTTPS certificates?

You must use your own certificate for HTTPS mode. The key file is expected at ssl/key.pem and the certificate at ssl/cert.pem; you can generate a self-signed pair with openssl.

What port and mode defaults are shown in the usage options?

The options list 64080 or 64443 as the HTTP/HTTPS port values, with HTTPS as the default mode. The listen address defaults to 0.0.0.0.
