Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

Common questions

Do my photos and metadata stay in standard files if I stop using PhotoStructure?

Yes, your files remain in your own folders. Tags, captions, corrected dates, and locations are saved using standards that other photo apps can read.

Does PhotoStructure collect analytics or send data to remote servers?

No, it has no tracking or analytics. The only remote check is an opt-in update check.

Can it automatically detect duplicate and edited versions of the same photo?

Yes, it groups duplicates, edited versions, and resized copies. It can identify the same photo even when filenames and dates do not match.

Does PhotoStructure continue importing new photos after the initial setup?

Yes, it watches for new photos as they arrive. It can sweep photos from drives, phones, and old backups into folders you design.

How does it behave when an import fails or the disk is nearly full?

It retries failed imports and pauses before your disk fills.
