  • Save the APP_KEY before setup Copy the provided .env.example settings file to .env and save the APP_KEY (a secret value in the settings file used to encrypt data) before loading sample data, because losing it can prevent Invoice Ninja from running. source
  • Open setup page and use default logins If you did not load sample data, open the setup page at the shown local address to finish initial configuration. Then use the listed default administrator and client logins to confirm access works, or you may be stuck without a usable setup. source
  • Add the required scheduler task Add the shown cron job (a scheduled server task) after replacing the project path, and set it to run every minute. Invoice Ninja needs this scheduler to function properly; without it, scheduled jobs may not run. source
