Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes

  • Set the Soulseek listen port In the Soulseek (a peer-to-peer music sharing network) settings, set listen_port to the incoming port you want peers to connect to, such as 2234, and open or forward that port if you are behind a router. Setting it to 0 disables incoming connections, which can prevent some transfers from working. source
  • Use the expected music folder layout Seakarr expects downloaded music to sit in folders like /media/music/Artist Name/Album Name, with the track files inside the album folder. If your library uses a different layout, files may be placed somewhere you do not expect or may not be recognized properly. source
  • Leave quality filters at 0 The min_bit_rate and min_bit_depth settings are minimum quality filters for compressed and lossless audio, respectively; 0 means the filter is off. If you raise them, Seakarr will skip files below those limits, so only change them if you really want to avoid lower-quality downloads. source
  • Privoxy proxy setup If you need the included Privoxy proxy, set qBittorrent's proxy to the container IP address and port 8118. source
  • VPN setup Configure OpenVPN or WireGuard to route traffic through the VPN and prevent IP leakage. source
